Marie Dressler, whose inimitable presence captured the hearts of stage and film audiences alike, first brought this comedy to the stage under the title Tillie’s Nightmare. It was such a success that Keystone chose it for their first feature-length comedy, featuring Dressler, Charlie Chaplain and Mabel Normand – as well as the rest of the Keystone company, including the famous Kops. Be prepared for mayhem.
